Brief History
We're all long time friends that grew up together. Some of us were chilling as far back as elementary school, others since the middle school years, we all went to high school together, and are all currently going to college together. In the mix of all that a few bands were formed here & there, some in different cities, with different people- it was all in the air. Then in August of 2007, the five members joined forces in Flagstaff, Arizona. Bringing together a blender of tracks & musical talents in smorgasbord form, to what would be the foundation of "brothers gow" music. Our backgrounds in music growing up ranged from funk, reggae-rock, jam bands, ambient beats, to even hip-hop culture, like DJing and break-dancing. Today, brothers gow is growing & can't thank our supporters enough. We have plans for a live album coming out hopefully sometime in the next year. After our first tour, which was in the summer of 2008 we took some time off from playing shows and worked on some new ideas. Some new compositions and tunes have arrived and their waiting to be revealed to our loyal fans soon. Don't forget to inquire about our debut album Key of Jee, Also check us out on our Myspace page. the new album is out! cant wait to unleash it to all BG fans. Old and new! 2010 is a whole new chapter for us, are you ready?

"brothers gow officially coalesced in Flagstaff in August of '07 and has been one of the most active local bands since, playing a mix of rock, funk, hip-hop, jazz with-yes-a requisite amount of high-energy improv moments that reliably draw considerable number of local followers to the gigs around town.." Ryan Heinsius, Flaglive 2009
“The Brothers Gow is a 5 piece band located in beautiful Flagstaff, Arizona. Come check out a show to see what its all about. We'll make you move your feet, nod your head, and drop your jaw.”
“Local Flagstaff band Brothers Gow plays a mix of rock, reggae and funk. Experimenting and having fun with music is the name of the game for these boys. The band eases smooth sounds of blues into funky grooves of hip-hop-influenced beats, topped off with some island-inspired resonances of reggae. Their symphonic vibes bellowing from each direction is their signature for getting the crowd moving.”
